Armed thugs suspected to be cultists and numbering over 20 this morning attacked voters at Ward 4 located at Isho Primary School, Ubulu Uku, Delta State. They came in two buses, shot sporadically into the air forcing people on accreditation queue to run to safety. Eye witness said the police men on duty also ran but were soon emboldened by the youths of the community who pushed back the thugs and seized one of their guns.
The police together with some of the youths later gave chase to the fleeing thugs who flee to the neighbouring Ubulu Unor community. Isho is a predominantly PDP domain.
Also in Rivers heavy shooting marked accreditation in Obior Apkor and Gokana areas of the state.
