Senate finally passes Peace Corps Bill

At last, the Senate has passed the Peace Corps Bill, a move that will settle the bickering between the police and the leadership of the Peace Corps.

While passing the bill, the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, said the legislature had fulfilled a major promise – The passing of the bill may have helped to resolve the supremacy battle between Peace Corps and the Nigeria Police Force.

After the passage of the Peace (establishment) Corps bill, Saraki declared that it was a long journey that finally led the country to the promise land. “One long journey, we finally got to the Promise land. Thank you all,” Saraki said after the bill was passed on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.
