Sullivan Chime ditches PDP for APC

The immediate past Governor of Enugu State, Bar. Sullivan Chime, has joined the horde of South East politicians by defecting from the opposition PDP to the ruling APC. This is coming months after former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani, moved camp to the APC.

The recent development has left the zone depleted of top politicians still holding allegiance to the PDP with the incumbent State Governor Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Senate Deputy President Ike Ekeremadu now the only prominent PDP leaders in Enugu State State chapter of the party.

Earlier, Sullivan’s impeached Deputy Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi defected to the APC from the PDP. The depletion of the PDP of seasoned politicians has continued nationwide unabated in recent months including politicians in the South-South zone considered a stronghold of the PDP.
