Tension in Kaduna over alleged shooting of youth by security personnel in Kawo

There is palpable tension in the Kawo area of Kaduna metropolis, after an alleged murder of a motorcycle rider by security personnel.

Kidnappers were said to have invaded the community in the early hours of Monday but were repelled by youths in the area. While on their way trying to escape, the security personnel mistakenly shot at one of the youths.

The youths, who are in their numbers took to the streets of Kawo, demanding that the security personnel left the area.

But for the presence of the army, the situation could have degenerated.
