Terrorists in 11 Gun Trucks Attack Borno Town

Military on patrol in Borno State

The police have raised an alarm of renewed deadly attacks in the North East with the influx of more terrorists into the region. The latest was the staged attacked by heavily armed terrorists on Gajiram town, headquarters of Nganzai Local Government Area in Borno State.

A terse statement signed by DSP Edet Okon, PPRO Borno State Command reads:

“On Monday’s evening at about 1740hrs, heavily armed Boko Haram terrorist in about eleven gun trucks attacked Gajiram town, headquarters of Nganzai Local Government Area. Police personnel deployed to the area alongside troops of the Nigerian Military engaged the terrorists and promptly repelled the attack.

“There was no casualty on the side of the police. Meanwhile, reinforcement has been mobilised and deployed to the town. Further development will be communicated to the press in due course.”
