Tilewa Adebajo retracts statement on debt Securitisation

Mr. Tilewa Adebajo has retracted his statements on the National Assembly’s approval of the securitisation of Ways and Means advances the Central Bank of Nigeria granted the Muhammadu Buhari administration as reported by a few platforms.

Mr. Adebajo spoke at the fourth Audit Reporting Workshop organised by FrontFoot Media Initiative to highlight the significance of state government audits as stipulated in the 1999 Nigerian constitution. Eighteen journalists attended.

According to Mr. Adebajo, he did not intend for his remarks to be reported.

Mr. Adebajo position however seeks to avoid misrepresenting or misreading his remarks and motives.
