The Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies (CPSS), University of Ilorin, is collaborating with the US-based John Maxwell Team, to offer leadership training programmes for interested professionals and groups in Nigeria.

This followed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the CPSS with the international leadership organisation, Creative Minds Inc.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the Director of CPSS, Prof. Noah Yusuf, said this development was borne out of the need to broaden the scope of the Centre.

“Our goal is to see the centre become a global centre of excellence for peace and development research and documentation by integrating leadership studies through the novel collaboration,” he said.

According to him, the MoU signed, gave the team the privilege to train interested individuals or groups in Nigeria on leadership.

Prof. Yusuf said the professional would be engaged in lecturing, online interactions and offer a completion course of the programme in the United States of America.

The don noted that the Committee on the Memorandum of Understanding between CPSS and the John Maxwell Team was inaugurated on Thursday May 17 at the CPSS Board with Prof. Yusuf as the Chairman.

The John Maxwell Team is a group of certified Coaches, Trainers, Speakers and Professionals, offering workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching to aid in personal and professional growth to individuals, organisations and companies worldwide.
