Yudala Mobile Monday Records Unprecedented Traffic, Promises More Discount

Admin March 16, 2016

Nnamdi EkehYudala, Nigeria’s first true composite online and offline retail chain, on Monday recorded huge traffic for the latest edition of its weekly promotion tagged Mobile Monday, with the e-commerce outfit attracting major hits to its website and increased footfalls at its Experience Stores nationwide on a day which saw the X-Touch smartphones emerge one of the best-selling brands most requested by shoppers.

Yudala had flagged off the weekly mega sales promotion in February, with the company positioning it as a day on which shoppers can enjoy exclusive deals and best prices on a wide range of mobile devices including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and accessories, among others.

Known as Mobile Monday, the promotion had grown in popularity since inception with best-selling products from top brands including Apple, HP, Infinix, Innjoo, Alcatel, Lenovo, Samsung, X-Touch and Huawei, among others, featuring heavily in the sales.

Monday’s promotion saw the new X-Touch E1, Apple IPhone 5S and the Innjoo 1 – which Yudala had bundled with a free flip cover – enjoy best-seller status from orders processed on the Yudala website as well as from visitors to the Experience Stores.

Investigations reveal that based on increasing acceptance and testimonials from shoppers on the promotion, Yudala had unveiled a number of marketing partnerships with a slew of major brands for this week’s edition of Mobile Monday which had seen the company offer shoppers mouth-watering deals and bundled sales on various mobile devices.

Unsurprisingly, these had seen interest and demand spike in the promotion, with findings revealing that the company had begun receiving orders online as early as midnight. Apart from the multiple traffic witnessed online, heavy foot traffic was also reported at the Yudala Offline Experience Stores in various cities as eager shoppers sought to take advantage of the surprise deals and attractive prices on offer for the over 500,000 mobile devices from various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) which went on sale on Monday.

Among the special packages witnessed on Monday was a partnership with foremost financial institution UBA which offered shoppers an exclusive deal on the Infinix Hot Note complete with a free pouch for UBA card holders.

Yudala had also offered shoppers a chance to enjoy special deals during a flash sale at specific hours on Monday, with huge price slashes witnessed on select devices at 12pm, 3pm and 6pm. Customers had gone on a rampage to get the most subscribed deal of the day – HP 250 G4 Notebook which came with a free bag & F&D V10 2.0 Speaker. Additional surprise for shoppers was the introduction of the Samsung 20” TV flash sale.

According to Founder/Vice President, Yudala, Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, shoppers can buy all kinds of mobile devices on every day of the week from Yudala. He, however, revealed that the company had decided to set aside Mondays as a unique day on which special deals and mouth-watering deals on various mobile devices can be enjoyed.

“Although mobile devices are on sale every day of the week at Yudala, we have decided to set aside every Monday in 2016 as a day on which our esteemed customers can get the best prices and surprise deals on mobile devices from the best, the biggest and most renowned brands.

“Through the Yudala Mobile Monday, we are offering Nigerians an opportunity to meet their needs and upgrade their lifestyles at a cost that makes sense in line with the current atmosphere of reduced earnings.

“I am confident that in no time, this promotion will certainly occupy the minds as the biggest single day sales of mobile devices in the country. We are seeing the signs of this movement from Nigerians already and on our part, we will keep doing our best to ensure we make the best mobile devices available at the right prices every Monday,” he promised.

Yudala launched into the market late last year with great panache and marketing blitz, successfully expanding the nation’s e-commerce and offline retail space with several innovative strategies including the first ever drone delivery in Africa, Neighbour to Neighbour Mega Deals, Gyming with the Stars series, Monthly Mid-Day Madness and Yu-jara – Nigeria’s largest festive Seasons Sales, among others. Yudala prides itself for genuine products and for being the fastest pay on delivery composite e-commerce company in the country.
