The Senate minority leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe has resigned as Senate Minority Leader, dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Abribe disclosed this in separate letters to the Ward Chairman of the PDP in Ward 5, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State and the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, dated May 24 and 26 respectively.

According to him, “This development is consequent upon the shameful display of illegality, impunity, and undemocratic decision of the party and after due consultations with my constituents”.
